Cashier/Expo/Prep

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
include, but are not limited to the following. Other duties may be assigned to meet business needs.

  • Promote Company Mission, Vision and Core Values.
  • Greet Guests with a smile while receiving orders and processing payments.
  • Process customer orders and record them in the restaurant database.
  • Ensure all orders are delivered to the customers in a timely manner.
  • Accept cash and return the correct change.
  • Place food orders in the appropriate bags and boxes.
  • Respond to customer inquiries, issue receipts, and record customer suggestions.
  • Clean service area and kitchen spaces.
  • Set an example of friendly and efficient customer service for others to follow, serving all customers in an efficient and friendly manner, ensuring that food is hot, served quickly, and neatly presented.
  • Prepare and package food and drink products.
  • Follow correct prepping procedures, utilizing prep charts; properly store and rotate perishable stock.
  • Responsible for maintaining the cleanliness of the restaurant, including dining room, kitchen, equipment, restroom & exterior.
  • Maintain health and safety standards in work areas.
  • Make sure all surfaces, equipment, and utensils are cleaned and sanitized before, during, and after use.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of the brand and menu items.
  • Check food quality and food temperature throughout the day to ensure the food is fresh and safe to serve.
  • Adhere to all local regulations, brand standards, and company policies and procedures.
  • Report all hazards and concerns immediately to the manager on duty.
  • Prepare food products to the correct specification .
  • Unload and stock inventory items as needed.
  • Use upselling techniques; advise customers of promotions and menu offerings.
  • Able to work on all workstations as required. (Workstations you may work are Cashier Lobby/Drive Thru, Packaging Lobby/Drive Thru, Sandwich Station, Expo/Accuracy Captain and Prep)
  • Assist other team members as needed.
  • Prompt and regular attendance on assigned shifts.
  • Act with integrity and honesty, and promote the culture of Popeyes.

Qualifications/Requirements


  • Must be able to observe and ensure the product is prepared and presented to company Brand Standards.
  • Must have basic math skills, including understanding of units of measure.
  • Must complete all Popeyes Academy assigned Learning and LTOs
  • Must meet any state, county or municipal regulation pertaining to health risk concerns about food handling.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to interact in a positive and professional manner with Guests and coworkers.
  • Willingness to learn all areas of restaurant operations & work multiple stations.
  • Available to work evenings, weekends and holidays.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds of force occasionally.
  • Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds of force frequently.
  • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
  • Ability to carry products/boxes and miscellaneous weighing no more than 60 pounds.
  • Consistently operates registers.
  • Consistently handle product preparation.
  • Consistently kneel and follow proper lifting procedures.
  • Frequently stop and pick up supplies and trash.
  • Consistently push to open and close door to store and storage shed as well as cooler and freezers.
  • Consistently stand during serving customers and training.
  • Consistently talk to and listen to fellow team members and Guests.
  • Consistently lifts for product preparation, stocking and inventory.
