The Elko County Board of Commissioners will collect, review and interview applicants for the County Clerk, which will be vacant on October 6, 2023, with the retirement of Kristine Jakeman.
The Elko County Commission will meet on Wednesday, October 4, 2023, to interview all interested and eligible applicants for this vacancy with a term to expire on January 4, 2027. The Successful candidate will have to run in the November 2026 election to retain the position. Candidates will be given the opportunity to speak at the meeting.

Minimum requirements are to be a resident and elector in Elko County. A cover letter, a completed, signed Elko County application and resume are requested.
