The Home Lending Strategy Team at Citizens Bank is responsible for advising senior leadership via analytic insights, directly influencing the day-to-day and long-term strategy of the Home Lending Sales/Operations teams. This team will be critical in the continued evolution of the business, aiding in its growth as one of the largest mortgage originations businesses among regional banks in the entire country. A critical component of this team is the business analysts who drive these insights.

A Business Analyst on the Home Equity Sales Strategy Team will possess the strategic and analytical skills to help guide the evolution of the mortgage business at Citizens Bank. The ideal candidate must show clear ownership of strategic initiatives, executing projects and performing complex analyses, including independent root-cause analysis, in order to drive actionable business recommendations. The Business Analyst will work closely with other analysts/managers on the strategy team, senior home lending leadership, and a multitude of business partners spanning across Sales, Operations, Capital Markets, Risk Management, Audit, Technology, Finance, and Human Resources.

Primary responsibilities will include (but are not limited to)

  • Implement projects, analyses, and reports across a geographically dispersed team under direction of leadership while collaborating with a multitude of potential collaborators: Sales, Capital Markets, Technology, Finance, Compensation, and Retail Bank partners.
  • Prepare analysis on potentially sophisticated issues and showcase findings to Home Equity leadership.
  • Responsibilities will go beyond simply collecting data. Candidate will independently develop insights and drive actions from the analysis. Problem solving should be based on quantitative analytics, with an ability to analyze large and sophisticated datasets and perform root cause analysis.
  • Must show independence and autonomy. Will need to be able to balance a strong result focus with a high-quality bar and attention to detail.
  • Will work in an Agile environment, so needs to be able to work with a diverse team with a wide-ranging ability.
  • Will require strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Must have or be developing strong analytical tool and data visualization skills, including but not limited to Microsoft Excel, SAS, SQL, Tableau, Microsoft PowerPoint.

Hours & Work Schedule

  • Hours per Week: 40
  • Work Schedule: Mon - Fri
