Medical Appointment Scheduler- Bilingual (Spanish)

We are currently seeking a dedicated, self-motivated, and experienced Healthcare Call Center Representative to join the team. The Representative will report to the Call Center Manager and is responsible for ensuring world-class service to patients on behalf of EqualizeRCM clients.

Responsibilities and Duties

· Answer all phone calls in a positive and service-minded manner relating to scheduling, patient accounts, or general office information

· Consistently process requests with operational accuracy

· Schedule, change, or cancel appointments; demonstrate active listening to identify the patient’s needs

· Effectively communicate appointment details to the patient

· Obtain accurate and complete patient demographic and insurance information

· Answer questions about patient accounts (self-pay, insurance pending, balances after insurance, etc.)

· Provide clear, thorough, and accurate documentation of all interactions with patients and other individuals on behalf of patients, in the patient’s electronic health records

· Follow organizational guidelines on the use of the Electronic Medical Record (EMR) in compliance with HIPAA and patient confidentiality standards

· Ability to manage telephone calls, emails, and chat sessions

· Weekend availability required

· Other duties as assigned

Required Experience and Qualifications

  • High-School Diploma or GED
  • Must be fully bilingual
  • Experience working with or in a fast-paced, high-growth call center operation; preferably remote call center experience
  • Working knowledge of medical office workflow
  • Working knowledge of insurance eligibility
  • Ability to read, understand and interpret insurance Explanations of Benefits
  • Two (2) years of experience in medical or health insurance
  • Excellent telephone etiquette
  • Skilled in basic computer operations and EMR

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $14.45 per hour
