Job Overview


Our fast-growing business is looking for an operations Manager to be
responsible for all operations, overseeing all personnel, all movements. You will be part of the Executive Team and will join the other leaders in setting the growth and profit strategy for the company.

What you'll do...

Some of your duties may include:

  • Manage all aspects of the warehouse, fleet/logistics, and inventory control functions
  • Hire, train, and manage drivers, warehouse, and supervisory personnel. To include ongoing assessment and implementation of employees and training needs.
  • Manage and ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and programs.
  • Responsible for managing compliance and regulations concerning, DOT, OSHA, FDA, HACCP state and local authorities.
  • Monitor, evaluate and manage inventory utilization and inventory control procedures.
  • Ability and willingness to be hands-on with daily warehouse operations as needed
  • Analyze process workflow, employee and space requirements, and equipment layout; implement changes

Things you need to be able to do:

  • Must have knowledge of all DOT Regulations
  • Must have knowledge of Transportation management systems and routing software
  • Must have knowledge of RF scanning and warehouse management systems
  • Ability to operate within a budget and manage expense
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Regular bending, lifting, stretching, and reaching both below the waist and above the head
  • Excellent communication skills, ability to follow directions, meet deadlines, and able to work under minimal supervision.
  • Must possess the ability to respond to changes with a sense of urgency and resolution.
  • Must be able to provide leadership and guidance to all departments of the operation

Things that are a plus:

  • At least 8 years’ experience in warehouse, fleet/logistics, and inventory control management.
  • 3-4 years management experience in distribution environment.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field, preferred.
