Books-FYI is seeking an Order Picker to join our team. As an Order Picker, you will play a critical role in our warehouse operations, ensuring that our customers receive their orders in a timely and accurate manner. You will work closely with our shipping and storage teams to maintain inventory levels, track shipment progress, and fulfill orders according to our company's quality standards. This is a fast-paced position that requires the ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and stay organized under pressure. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, efficient, and able to lift and move heavy packages.
Responsibilities
- Accurately select and pick items from inventory for customer orders
- Prepare orders for shipment according to company standards, including labeling, wrapping, and boxing items
- Organize inventory to maintain efficient storage and retrieval systems
- Monitor progress of shipments and report any issues or delays to the appropriate team members
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment, adhering to safety protocols and standards
- Operate warehouse equipment, such as forklifts and pallet jacks, as needed
- Participate in regular inventory counts and audits to ensure accuracy of stock levels
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience in a warehouse or logistics environment preferred
- Ability to lift and move packages up to 50 pounds
- Familiarity with warehouse equipment and procedures
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in order fulfillment
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Excellent communication and organization skills

Pay: $23.00 - $27.00 per hour
